Press Mincomunas. – This Thursday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, signed the enactment of the Reform of the Organic Law of the Social Comptrollership.
He explained that this legal instrument develops and strengthens the People’s Power by establishing the rules and conditions for the social comptroller’s promotion, development, and consolidation as a means of citizen participation and co-responsibility.
“When I was in the Comuna El Maizal last October 20, on the occasion of the ten years of the Coup de Timon of our Commander Hugo Chavez, we provided a trigger for a set of reforms to the People’s Power laws; there, the National Assembly started the task. The Organic Law of Social Comptrollership reform was handed over to me to be signed and delivered to the Official Gazette. I want to thank all the deputies of the National Assembly and its president, Dr. Jorge Rodriguez, for the great work they have been doing. Fortunately, there is a National Assembly with a communal majority, with a revolutionary majority, that is why we can make these laws, expand them, improve them, perfect them”, he emphasized.
President Maduro emphasized that the Social Comptrollership Law was promoted by Commander Hugo Chavez to accompany the management of the Executive in the fight against corruption and to dynamize the training to empower the instances of the People’s Power, such as the Communal Councils and the Communes.
