Lara, May 25, 2023 (Mincomunas Press) – This Thursday, from the Andrés Eloy Blanco Territorial Polytechnic University (UPTAEB), in the Iribarren municipality, 15 Communal Councils, translated into 100 spokespersons, participated in the installation and development of the National Congress of People’s Power Direct Experiences of Management, Lara chapter, to exchange experiences as a guiding basis for the strengthening of communal management through the Integration and Communication System (SINCO).
In her speech, Michelly Vivas Chacon, rector of UPTAEB, pointed out that the educational institution is anchored to the People’s Power: “This is our social task, and this is thanks to the social training programs in the Communal Councils, in the Communes and any expression of social organization, as well as to our students to strengthen all the mechanisms of participation, organization and the presentation of projects.”
“Thanks to the Sucre Mission, we are not only present in the main seat of Barquisimeto but also in the municipalities of Moran, Jimenez, Crespo, and as of September in the Urdaneta municipality,” said the rector.
On his part, the Vice Minister of Communes and Social Movements, Fernando Jose Rodriguez, added that “we are only promoting this experience, we are accompanying together with the Ministry of University Education, and the Federal Council of Government (CFG) these experiences of the organized Popular Power, which shows us every day experiences of territorial self-government that demonstrate how in adverse situations, they overcome all obstacles and fulfill the projects with well-managed resources, of which the surpluses are used in the same community.”
“The idea of this Congress is to be a permanent meeting so that the spokesmen and spokeswomen of these successful experiences can exchange, systematize and nurture their knowledge to other Communal Councils that, perhaps, do not have these successful experiences that have felt. Likewise, this University must be given new impetus so that it can be territorialized in all the Community Councils because this allows us to open up lines of research and accompany the management of public management indicators”, highlighted the Vice-Minister.
Working groups in action
Nortzi Lugo, spokeswoman of the Community Council “Brisas Alto de Casacoima II,” stated that thanks to the CFG, a public management project benefited 700 inhabitants of the locality”.
Escarlet Gutierrez, a community spokeswoman, expressed that the approval of a project in her community benefited 54 families and thanked the CFG “as a tool to promote the Popular Power because we can solve our needs in terms of living well.”
Luis Alberto Niño, from the Prados del Centro Norte Community Council, located in the parish of El Cuji in the municipality of Iribarren, reflected that the implementation of a sewage project benefited a total of 283 families “and in a second stage, we were able to benefit 83 families from the neighboring Commune”.
“This Congress is of utmost importance because it allows us to know the execution of the projects of the Popular Power and to make the other levels of government understand that the organized people can manage the resources and improve their quality of life. Let us continue moving forward with the constituted power, emphasized Niño.
Finally, Rawin Rojas, spokesperson of the Paso de Carora Communal Council of the Agua de Obispo Commune, located in the Torres municipality, emphasized that “we are committed to continuing working and strengthening production in the Communal Councils and Communes; and thanks to SINCO we can achieve our projects and advance to commercialization in an organized manner.”
The authorities of the CFG, the We Are Venezuela movement, and the Beautiful Venezuela Great Mission, all present to make visible the People’s Power’s successful experiences in the execution of social, economic, and service management projects attended the activity.
