Apure, May 25, 2023. (Mincomunas Press) – This Thursday, the first National Congress of Direct People’s Power Management Experiences took place in the José Cornelio Muñoz Hall at the Governor’s Office of Apure State.
Among the attendees at the event were Apure Governor Eduardo Piñate; the Mayor of San Fernando de Apure, Ofelia Padron; as well as Kelis Gomez, representing the Federal Council of Government; Jose Tovar, regional director of the People’s Power and Social Movements Ministry; and Dairene Delgado, from Fundacomunal, among other authorities.
Governor Eduardo Piñate called to the spokespersons of the communal organizations, emphasizing that “it is necessary that they take ownership of the means of production in the political and territorial (…), that this type of exchange of knowledge continues to strengthen the communal spaces”.
Katiuska Carreño, a Bolivarian University of the Communes, stated that: “mechanisms must be created that contribute to the social and spiritual, within the communal dimensions.”
Pedro Castillo, a member of the state political team of the PSUV, developed the topic of radical democracy. “This concept requires a continuous exercise of free participation in a rational deliberation on matters of collective interest. It is necessary to exercise a popular and fair government, as well as the promotion of the values of equality and solidarity”.
Meanwhile, Kelis Gomez explained the advantages offered by the Integration and Communication System (SINCO) of the Federal Council of Government for the grassroots organizations of the People’s Power.
Also, during the Congress, there were presentations on the projects carried out in the sectors of Tamarindo I and II, La Yeguera, La Rompia, 1ero de Mayo, Mata Linda, Caramacate I, Guaritico, Boquerones, La Planta, El Chacero, El Brazo and Bomba Vieja.
The activity concluded with the presentation of awards to the spokespersons and the words of Professor Jose Tovar from the Ministry of Communes and Social Movements.
The National Congress of Direct Experiences of Management of the People’s Power was conceived as a meeting of the spokesmen and spokeswomen of the Communal Councils and institutions of the Venezuelan State for the socialization and presentation of experiences of the community organizations in the execution of different projects approved by the Federal Council of Government during the year 2022.
