Caracas, March 23, 2023 (Press Mincomunas) – “We must assume the task or challenge of organizing or reorganizing ourselves and understand that this is the only way, because in the world, the State as we know it tends to disappear and the only viable State, from our point of view, is the one that emerges from the communal society.”
The People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, exhorted during his participation in the radio program Procesos Productivos, broadcasted by Radio Libre Negro Primero 101.1 FM, hosted by Carlos Lugo.
He insisted that we must advance toward a communal society. He assumed the rebirth of Commander Hugo Chavez’s original project, which proposed to build socialism in the territory where the people have organized themselves and are the power.
“The only way to reach a communal society is through the people’s social organization and the Communes producing,” oriented Arreaza.
In this sense, he affirmed that it is a challenge for the urban Communes to produce, but they have to do it, look for the modalities, the formulas, in co-government with the institutions, for example.
Likewise, he pointed out that at this moment, the responsibility given by President Nicolas Maduro to the people is to wake up, reorganize and start generating the conditions to assume power.
The Minister reiterated that the Government has to understand itself with four levels: national, regional or state, municipal and communal, which for now has the Communes and the Communal Councils, and which is where the seat of power is.
Arreaza also reflected on the Bolivarian Government’s ongoing battle against corruption in the public administration, stating that the only way to fight and structurally defeat corruption is by incorporating the people at all management levels and decision-making.
