Caracas, March 22, 2023 (Mincomunas Press) – On Wednesday, during the program “Café en la mañana” broadcast by Venezolana de Television, Gabriel Montilla, a member of the Commune of the North Zone Socialist Commune, in the Altagracia parish of Caracas, talked about the communes’ production based on the Communal Economic Circuits.
“We have a Communal Direct Social Property Company (EPSDC) in charge of pork and poultry production, and we, as the youth, have understood the whole process that the nation has gone through with the economic blockades. And also, we have grown with Commander Chavez’s plans and now hand in hand with our President Nicolas Maduro, who led us to develop strategies for economic growth and transformation”.
On this basis, the Commune works in the Communal Economic Circuits, explained Montilla, “as Chavez said, one of the ways to measure the progress of socialism is production and self-management, and with the Circuits we increased our production, guaranteeing the wellbeing of the people.”
It is worth mentioning that pig breeding as a line of production is distributed to the Claps structure “to guarantee food independence to our people with the Communal Fairs and to generate this cycle that we have been working on from social funds that are managed based on this Economic Circuit.”
The spokesman of the Commune indicated that the same is integrated by 12 Communal Councils, translating to approximately 15 thousand families that “are benefited with proteins with the pork and poultry production.
In the training area, “we have been working with the Ministry for the Communes and Social Movements,” said the communal councilman. “Thanks to the work of Minister Jorge Arreaza, we reached an agreement with Banco Bicentenario for financing, with a return so that we, as organized people, can generate these production conditions within each territory.”
Part of the production process directs to three funds: the swine maintenance fund, the fund for attention to producers, and the fund for social investment, “the latter is important based on the whole organic system sought to generate with this Communal Economic Circuit in the territory. This system is partly based on what is generated by this socio-productive process, which directs to the Bank of the Commune and, there comes into play all the social policies destined to streets repair and necessary projects”.
