Caracas, March 20, 2023 (Presidential Press Office) – During a working meeting with the Enlarged Political Bureau, the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, assured that the Bolivarian Revolution was born as a response to the moral decomposition of the old regime of the VI Republic.
In this sense, he recalled that the Bolivarian socialist alternative arose in the face of collective demoralization of the neoliberal capitalist model dominated by the internal oligarchies, which sought to impose alienation schemes on the Venezuelan people.
“We have been and must continue to be an ethical, moral, and political alternative to banditry. We have been and must continue to be a reality of profound honesty managing public resources that belong to our people, especially in times of economic war,” ratified the President from the Waraira Repano National Park in Caracas.
Likewise, he demanded to punish the corrupt mafias of the various sectors. “That is why the punishment must be exemplary with all the bandits, with all the corrupt wherever they are. We must guarantee that the truth prevails and that the people know the truth. Nothing will stop us in our will and determination to punish these mafias, to do justice, dismember and clean up the fronts we have tackled in this first operation”.
In context, he assured Petroleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA) would initiate a cleaning phase in all the operational mechanisms. “We are going to fully clean PDVSA of all these mechanisms, of all these barbarities, of all these people who steal money from the people with restructuring measures at the highest level, as we have already started.”
Likewise, he thanked the Judicial Power “for its will, determination, and support in this battle against corruption in this first phase,” he then asked the people for their support and union in the battle against corruption and bandits.
