Alcaravan Technological Center develops food technology projects

Guarico, August 16, 2022 (Press MinComunas) – On Tuesday, authorities of the People’s Power Ministry for Communes and Social Movements and representatives of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) from Brazil visited the Alcaravan Technological Center in San Juan de Los Morros (Guarico state). To learn about their experiences and advance towards the technological sovereignty of the country.

During the meeting, they explained the work developed in the food technology sector and how to strengthen the communication tools to continue providing attention to the People’s Power.

In this sense, the representatives of the MST expressed their interest in working together. To carry out a project with planting a variety of rice they have in Brazil with particular characteristics.

They stated that Alcaravan is a great place to create a pilot plan. To put it into practice and turn it into an epicenter that connects the experiences of the popular organizations linked to rice production and be able to join them to be part of the economic growth of the country.

Accompanying the People’s Power

The entire process related to the Communal Integration System (Sinco) development was carried out at the Alcaravan Technological Center to continue protecting and accompanying the Popular Power organized in Communal Councils and Communes.

From their spaces, the authorities of the Ministry of Communes and representatives of the MST discussed the possibility of coordinating; so that the technology center could accompany the projects requested by the Communal Councils and the popular organizations in the area of electrification since they have the production line of luminaries.

The idea of the teams present at the meeting is to work collectively towards technological sovereignty by socializing knowledge, providing training, and incorporating the youth and the organizations in the projects to achieve social welfare.
