Monaguenses present productive projects at the National Congress of People’s Power

Monagas, May 25, 2023 (Press Mincomunas) – This Thursday, in Casa de la Cultura Noel Beltran Perez, in the Libertador municipality of Monagas state, took place the National Congress of People’s Power Direct Experiences of Management (SINCO).

More than 60 spokespersons of the Communal Councils and Communes of the municipalities of Sotillo, Zamora, Maturin, and Libertador socialized the successful experiences of communal management to achieve the empowerment of the Popular Power as instructed by President Nicolas Maduro Moros.

In this context, during his presentation, political scientist Daniel Rodriguez from the School for the People’s Power Strengthening reflected on radical democracy and the construction of the Communes.

“To understand the concept of radical democracy, we must take as a reference to great thinkers: Simon Bolivar, who spoke of the importance of exercising a popular and fair government. Simon Rodriguez created the document of the toparquia emphasizing the establishment of the government from the territory and promoted in his thoughts the values of equality and solidarity. And lastly, Commander Hugo Chavez designed a country project to encourage and promote the competencies transference to the People’s Power and advance in the realization of community projects”.

Professor Beatriz Alvarez, a state coordinator of the Bolivarian University of the Communes, explained that it is necessary to recognize the values of solidarity, equality, and love for the neighbor to achieve good communal management. “In this historical moment we are living, we must strengthen the productive communities, create communal economic circuits and create viable projects, to respond to the programs and projects carried out by the revolutionary government.”

Likewise, Fran Maita, an analyst of the Federal Council of Government, during his intervention pointed out that the Integration and Communication System (SINCO), formerly called Communal Integration System, is an open and direct tool for the Popular Power.

“It is necessary that the communal spokespersons take ownership of this system since it is the only tool that exists to transfer resources and speed up social, service, and socio-productive projects.”

Socialization of productive projects

The community leaders took the opportunity to present their mapping at the socio-productive fair, and they also formed work tables to socialize the 13 successful projects approved by the Federal Council of Government (CFG).

The spokeswoman Yaisy Salazar, from the Santa Rosalía Communal Council and member of the Comuna Agroproductiva del Sur parliament in the Tabasca parish, thanked for the financing granted by the Bolivarian Government through SINCO.

“We plant bitter cassava, and we have four artisan casaberas active in the community, which has allowed us to improve the family economy.”

Community leader Luis Gonzalez, from the La Escobilla sector, pointed out that the credit they received was for planting corn; however, they have cattle for the production of llanero cheese, which distributes to the population of Tembladores.
