Caracas agroecological movements take a step forward in defense of the Essequibo.

Caracas, November 23, 2023 (Mincomunas Press) – “A look at the past to reconquer what rightfully belongs to us” was the premise and title of the forum carried out this Wednesday at the Karicuao Karibe Agroecological Farm Foundation in Caracas, led by professor and member of the National Movement for the Defense of the Essequibo, Cesar Blanco, and the Vice Minister of Social Movements, Fernando Jose Rodriguez.

Community members, spokespersons, representatives of the ecological movements, aquaculturists, and urban farmers of the Capital District participated in the forum. They learned through an accurate debate, which are the historical points that have been a fundamental part of the struggle for the Essequibo.

At the same time, the intervention of Vice Minister Fernando Rodriguez reflected on the world’s geopolitical environment and some of the historical attacks that Venezuela has suffered over the years through the aggressions of the imperial powers.

Within the framework of the activities in support of the campaign for the recovery of the Essequibo, the discussion resulted in an exchange of opinions on the part of the participants and the speakers regarding the defense of the national territory.

At the end of the forum, experiences were systematized through a tour of the Karikuao Karibe spaces, guided by the coordinator of the Foundation, Jhoan Manuel de Sousa, during which those attending the meeting perceived the agro-productive processes carried out in the organization and the different processes for the use and reuse of solid waste, such as plastic.
