Miranda, November 16, 2023 (Mincomunas Press) – A delegation from the Republic of South Africa headed by the Secretary General of the Communist Party of that country, Kgabele Solomon Solly Afrika Mapaila, visited this Thursday two communities in Miranda state, promoted by the Pioneros Camp.
The delegation was received by spokespersons of the Pioneros de Monterrey Communal Council, in Baruta municipality of Miranda state, who expressed their gratitude and solidarity with the South African people; they also made an explanation of how the organizational process was carried out since 2011, to achieve the self-construction of houses for 156 families.
Iraida Morocoima, spokeswoman for the community, pointed out that the initial camp was formed by people from the neighboring communities who did not have homes and decided to organize themselves to obtain decent housing through the policies generated by the government of Commander Hugo Chavez and which today remain in force under the leadership of President Nicolas Maduro.
For his part, Mapaila was impressed by the organizational capacity of the communities which, thanks to Commander Hugo Chavez, Venezuelans had the opportunity to solve one of the problems afflicting the peoples of the world, such as housing, education, and health. He indicated they are willing to replicate this experience in their country.
Finally, they toured the 22 de Enero housing development in Chacao municipality, Miranda State, which consists of 260 families that formerly belonged to the most underprivileged communities of the municipality, since 2011 began the symbolic takeover of the land that was unused by one of the Venezuelan State companies.
