Caracas, September 27, 2023 (Press Mincomunas) – “Our Communal Councils and Communes must be organized at the highest level, activate all their committees, and create the conditions to exercise the Communal Government.”
The invitation corresponds to the People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, through a message published this Wednesday on his social media account.
The National Executive representative explained that this organization has different modalities of communal planning and management, listing as the first one the social and communal control of the works and management of all levels of government (national, regional, municipal, and communal.)
A second alternative consists of co-management or co-government in conjunction with mayors’ offices, governors’ offices, and the National Government (coordination of the four levels of revolutionary government).
Arreaza detailed that the third modality is self-management or communal self-government, in which the people’s organizations generate resources through their own socially owned means of production to reinvest in the community’s needs and plans.
The authorities of the communal office reiterated the call to the Communal Councils and Communes to reactivate or reinforce the assembly spirit, identify the critical knots, prioritize the attention of the most urgent ones, and elaborate the Map of Solutions and the Concrete Action Agenda (ACA) to manage the resolution and thus improve the living conditions in the territories.
