Barinas, August 26, 2023 (Mincomunas Press) – This Saturday, a cultural militant Coffee Break took place at Casa del Alba, Barinas state, to incorporate and promote cultural activities in Communal Councils and Communes of the locality.
The Vice-President for International Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Adan Chavez; the People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza; the state director of the Corazon Adentro Culture Mission, Oneida Soto, and different cultural workers who live in the region attended the meeting.
During the activity, the Director of Mission Culture balanced the work carried out in Barinas state regarding the Cultural Coup de Timon, which has four vertexes related to the organizational, training, mobilization, and cultural issues. It also aims to identify and activate the culture committee, strengthen the community’s historical memory, censuses culture workers and cultural infrastructure within the Communal Council and the Communes, and achieve the Cultural Communal Council’s certification.
“In Barinas state, we have approached six municipalities, we have 27 Communal Councils of which ten will be certified, and we are approaching the Ciclo Bicentenario and Sueños de Chavez Communes, thanks to the facilitators’ work, the Ministry of Communes, Fundacomunal, and the cultural mission promoters.”
On his part, Professor Adan Chavez highlighted the importance of articulating with different communities and with the United Socialist Party of Venezuela to support all the organized culturists that make life in various spaces of Barinas State.
The Vice-President of the PSUV urged to continue developing the arts “without forgetting the promotion of reading circles, studying, reading, advancing and getting young people, our boys and girls, besides reading, to write and produce. We must promote a lot of potential in the communities.”
During his participation, Minister Arreaza highlighted the cultural conditions that Commander Hugo Chavez created. He stood out for being a multifaceted man who, thanks to his abilities, managed to transmit to the people the importance of safeguarding the national identity to move forward and grow as a free and sovereign society.
“Commander Hugo Chavez created the conditions to achieve cultural hegemony and opened the paths for Venezuelan culture to develop and achieve the cultural revolution. Our identity is too glorious. It was here where the great human, military, political, and independence processes developed, where Bolivar and all that generation of great heroes were born”.
The head of the Communes highlighted the importance of the cultural issue for society, allowing Venezuelans to resist all the attacks they have lived through. “In these years of blockade, Venezuelans have appealed to resist Venezuelanness. We have gained a lot, on the one hand, thanks to the capabilities of President Nicolas Maduro, the people, the Communal Councils, and the culturists who are in the territory defending their identity”.
He made a call to identify cultural influencers, attract them, and take care of them so that they positively influence them. “Let’s identify here in the territory the cultural influencers, that are many, and let’s work with them as a network that flows, captures, attracts, and adds. Culture is the field where we can get the most,” Minister Arreaza concluded.
