Guarenas, August 10, 2023 (Press Mincomunas) – The People’s Power Ministry for Communes and Social Movements, Mayor’s Office of Plaza in Miranda State, and the Communes that form the Communal Economic Zone (ZEC) of Guarenas developed a distribution day this Thursday corresponding to the Route of the Communal Baskets on Thursday.
The event took place at the Alimentos Comunal Cormual company headquarters, East Industrial Zone of Guarenas, where the community members benefited from the acquisition of the bags containing 43 units of products from 13 items produced by the Communal Economic Circuits (CEC) and cooperatives.
The Communal Baskets Route is the expression of the communal exchange between each one of the CECs and ZECs formed in eight states of the country, promoting planned and networked consumption.
“Here we have potatoes from the Mucuchies moor; coffee and cocoa from Tucani, south zone of Merida; corn flour that comes from Barinas, produced with corn in addition to Lara and Portuguesa; panela that comes from the state of Sucre. With actions like these, we are defeating the US empire”, highlighted the Minister of Communes, Jorge Arreaza.
He highlighted that within the broad people, it is the communards who have given the great lessons of resistance in Venezuela against the unilateral coercive measures imposed by imperialism, whose capitalist model is burying “little by little, step by step, but with firmness, the people in permanent resistance.”
Referring to the bags and their 43 products, the Minister recalled that at the beginning, the boxes or bags distributed by the Local Supply and Production Committees (Clap) had a high percentage of imported products; today, they are 100% made in Venezuela, and must be recognized, “but here we are taking about 100 more steps because it is no longer a matter of being produced in Venezuela by the private circuit, but now we are replacing that private national production with communal production. It is not from one day to the next, but we are achieving it”.
“This is another model, this is the Venezuela we have to build, the one that guarantees the fulfillment of the number one objective of the Plan of the Homeland, independence,” oriented the head of the communal office.
The Mayor of Plaza, Freddy Rodriguez, affirmed that the People’s Power in the municipality has served as support for the improvement of public policies with “impressive results,” managing to repair or rehabilitate schools, roads, streets, sewage pipes, health establishments, which results in the “improvement of the quality of life of our citizens.”
Chavez’s dream
The community spokeswoman Yanelis Perez celebrated the day as one more victory of the Power and the Community Government. She thanked the institutions of the revolutionary Government because “they have made it possible for the community members to live a real experience, it is not a dream”. He said that this week, they have shared with the other circuits that have made the Communal Basket possible, proving the premise of Commander Hugo Chávez that “only the people save the people”.
Piter Palma, from the communal movement, thanked Minister Arreaza and his team, because “they have been a fundamental piece in everything we have built in the strengthening of the Popular Power in the Plaza municipality. Today, Chavez’s dream is coming true and fills us with pride. We invite those who did not believe in the beginning to join us”.
Another community spokesman, Douglas Castro, expressed that the activity proves that the people understood what Commander Chavez wanted, that “we were the ones who had to produce our own food and today, in these circuits and economic zones that the country has, we are achieving it.”
The bags contain 43 units of products, distributed in 1 kilo of coffee, 4 Kg of potato, 12 Kg of corn flour, 5 Kg of rice, 5 Kg of long and short pasta, 2 liters of oil, 400 grams of powdered milk, 1 Kg of lentils, six cans of sardines, 2 Kg of black beans, 500 gr of powdered cocoa, 500 gr of Nutrichicha and 2 Kg of panela.
Cooperatives, the National Institute of Nutrition (INN) with Nutrichicha, and the CECs of Coffee, Potato, Leguminous, Cocoa, Sugarcane, and Textile participate in the realization of the benefit, making the ecological bags where the 13 items are delivered.
There are 14 activated Routes with a scope of 64 Communes and 6 Social Movements in 8 states, with the participation of 2,000 producer families and 10 Circuits and Communal Economic Zones.
