Frentes textiles debaten perspectivas para la creación de un Circuito Económico Comunal

Textile fronts discuss perspectives for the creation of a Communal Economic Circuit

Caracas, June 29, 2023 (Mincomunas Press) – On Wednesday, textile communes of the Capital District, La Guaira, Miranda, Portuguesa, and Delta Amacuro carried out a balance assembly in Macarao, where they discussed the execution of the School Uniform Production Plan 2023 and the need to turn it into a Communal Textile Economic Circuit.

The meeting included the participation of the People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, and the Vice-Minister of Communal Economy, Hernan Vargas.

Five textile fronts, 58 Communes, and 518 producers are involved in the plan.

The Vice-Minister of Communal Economy explained that the support received from the Ministry of Commerce raised the need to advance in other exercises.

For this purpose, they will develop a pilot test in Nuevo Horizonte that contemplates the production of 5,000 combos for boys and girls from that territory. “We are also looking at the possibility of starting a pilot exercise of cotton planting to complete this link,” he said.

During the event, they inaugurated the first weaving machine in the hands of a Social Property Company (EPS) of the circuit, “intending to start to complete little by little the links of a production chain in which the small producer is not exploited or outsourced.”

They also discussed how to start generating bank credit mechanisms for the Communes to acquire raw materials for production.

“And, from now on, everything financed will orient to complete machinery of different levels of social property that will allow supporting production in the territory,” he added.
