Caracas, June 20, 2023 (Press Mincomunas) -“In these hard times that Venezuela is facing, the Chamba Juvenil movement must be at the forefront and maintain the path towards socialism,” said the People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, on Monday from the headquarters of the Venezuelan School of Planning, in Caracas.
During the National Meeting of the Great Mission Chamba Juvenil Saber y Trabajo (Youth Employment Knowledge and Work), Minister Arreaza asserted that this mission, celebrating its sixth anniversary today, has come a complicated way in the face of the imperialist aggression that has not lifted a single one of the sanctions.
“You must defend our identity, sovereignty, independence, especially in this new stage of transition towards socialism where the Commune is the epicenter of a new, fairer, and more united society.”
He pointed out that emerging socialism went from capital logic to the logic of liberating work. “You play a fundamental role so that the Communes and Communal Councils, which are the new form of government, have their production means so that their profits and the surpluses obtained from their work, are reinvested in their territory, their CDI (Integral Diagnostic Center), their study centers, their community.”
In this sense, Jessica Bello, Vice-Minister for Youth and Sports, expressed that these young people are at the forefront of developing all the youth public policies led by President Nicolas Maduro.
Likewise, Sandra Oblitas, People’s Power Minister for University Education, added that “Chamba Juvenil is now tasked with joining the National University Admission System, as well as attracting high school graduates who have no vacancies or who belong to the floating population, so that they admit them to any of the 97 universities that the Bolivarian Government has arranged to guarantee education in the country”.
On his part, Cesar Carrero, Vice-Minister of Participation and Communal and Social Organization, pointed out that this Great Mission must transmit and carry the message about what are the Communes, Communal Councils, their importance, and their role in this new era we live in.
Finally, Rino Machado, organizer of the Great Youth Chamba Mission and General Director of Saber y Trabajo, emphasized that it is necessary to work in the territory’s point and circle to visualize where are those young people with potential who want to study, work or exercise an occupation of some kind.
