Caracas, June 8, 2023 (Press Mincomunas) – The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, highlighted this Thursday that Socialism, direct democracy, according to Commander Hugo Chavez’s instruction, is created from the bases organized in Communes, with the capacity of self-governing to solve their problems.
“Commander Chavez explained on several occasions that we do not decree Socialism. On the contrary, it grows from the grassroots, where women and ordinary men count on an organized community with the power to govern themselves to solve problems and move forward collectively. Direct democracy grows from the Communes!” he posted on his Twitter account @NicolasMaduro.
On Wednesday, June 7, the President announced the installation of 600 new Socialist Missions Bases for this year, to reach 2,500 nationwide, as a way to protect and serve the people through the National System of Missions and Great Missions.
Together with the process of transformation of the People’s Power laws implemented by the National Assembly, oriented by the Head of State in consultation with the organized people, the People’s Power Ministry for the Communes and Social Movements has been developing the Congresses of Direct Communal Management Experiences in all the states throughout the country, which will close with a conclusive national event in Caracas.
These congresses took place under the premise of the third of the seven strategic work lines for 2023, oriented by President Nicolas Maduro in the new consolidation stage of the People’s Power, where socialization of the direct experiences of Communal Management is fundamental, using the Integration and Communication System (SINCO) as an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tool that channels the resource allocation processes through the Federal Council of Government (CFG).
