People’s Power of Merida shows its SINCO experiences in the National Management Congress.

Merida, June 2, 2023 (Mincomunas Press) – Continuing with the National Congress of Direct People’s Power Experiences of Management through the Integration and Communication System (SINCO), 250 spokespersons from the Merida State Communal Councils presented this Friday their proposals to build a new communal society as an alternative to the capitalist model.

The meeting developed at the Mucumbarila Convention Center, in the La Milagrosa sector, Milla parish of the Libertador municipality, where the People’s Power organized in the Andean State presented 46 successful projects that they were developing with the Federal Council of Government’s (CFG) financing through SINCO.

The Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, highlighted that “the communards of Merida State are known for being one of the most efficient in the country when using SINCO resources because they have intervened in the reality by attending structural problems due to the constant rains; the Communes activated by working with the other levels of government.”

“In terms of resources, the People’s Power has decided to solve their problems, and we found the different axes throughout their experiences in the state, to know the obstacles and victories due to their ancestral knowledge, and this stands out with their efficiency and is an example that any Andean and Plains state should follow. We must continue learning from the organized people”, emphasized the ministerial authority.

For his part, Cesar Carrero, Vice-Minister for Community and Social Organization and Participation, who attended the activity, pointed out that “this meeting intends to generate a space where the People’s Power can express and learn about their experience in the direct administration of resources and in this way generate public policies previously presented to President Nicolas Maduro to facilitate the work of the organized people, breaking the bureaucracy.”

In his intervention, the rector of the Territorial Polytechnic University “Kleber Ramirez” of Merida state, Angel Antunez, sustained that the participation of the house of study is the formation of Communal Power. “More than 54 universities were built in the country within a pedagogical narrative of our people, region, and country, and as a new academic methodology, the university program of open studies generates, which allows us to accredit experiences and knowledge from the communities.”

“Our university, with 24,000 students enrolled, is in 10 municipalities in the state, and today we have 7,000 open studies students. We form a community, we have experiences of high school graduates, professionals, and community members, among others, who do not need a curriculum to graduate but study based on the experiences and productive relations from one State to another to form a large university study network with a work team”, he added.

During his speech, Governor Jehyson Guzman stated that this space for the exchange of experiences translates “into faces that in the face of problems have assumed the capacity to solve them from the vision of the common good with the power to execute their ideas with hierarchy and thus give depth to the project of revolutionary democracy.”

Likewise, the Executive Secretary of the Federal Council of Government, Guy Vernaez, emphasized the confidence the People’s Power achieved in financial resources management. “We have to show all the procedures and organization of the organized people to solve their problems and the work in the community as an expression of energy that is collectively visualized. The task is to continue with the participation in the processes and improve the communal management”.

Work teams express their experiences.

Nestor Angulo, a spokesman for the People’s Power of the community learning community in communal sciences, argued that the study is circularly built, “we are building a revolutionary process that has a path, socialism, creating new forms of relationship to know what is happening.”

Luz Marina Silva, from the Frailejon del Paramo 62 Communal Council, located in the Rangel municipality, urged to continue the work of the People’s Power. “We have to summon our community, hold assemblies and debates and go further, having in mind self-government and that the administration of resources is effective in our projects; we have to defend the People’s Power.”
