Caracas, May 22, 2023 (Press Mincomunas) – More than 600 projects of communal organizations approved in 2022 will be systematized and reviewed during the National Congress of Management of Direct People’s Power Experiences throughout the country, informed Cesar Carrero, Vice-Minister of Organization and Communal and Social Participation.
The Vice-Minister explained that these organizations’ voices would show how the financial resources the State granted last year were efficiently administered before, during, and after proposing the solution to the exposed problems.
The data systematization objective is to generate policies to solve bureaucratic situations. And at the same time, to recognize the successful ways that some organizations developed to achieve their objectives, he said in an interview with YVKE Mundial.
Carrero informed that the Congress focuses on three main areas of these organizations: the social, service, and socio-productive fields, highlighting that each one has particular variables and characteristics that will be measured in a scientific way to obtain indicators and give an accurate account of what happened.
“We are also interested in hearing about those projects that did not meet the objectives due to external situations to take timely measures or provide recommendations and solve,” he added.
The initial call is for five spokespersons for each organization, multiplied by the 600 projects, which would account for more than 4,000 participants. But additionally, it is expected that institutions and professors from the universities in each entity will arrive.
Carrero said that in Caracas, there were 20 organizations presented last Saturday, but the largest number is in Zulia state with 70 registered projects is Zulia.
“We have other states that, due to their socio-productive characteristics or, due to some other interaction on the platform, were able to upload more projects and one state where more were approved,” he clarified.
Role of universities
Finally, he acknowledged that the role of the universities has been crucial for the construction of this Congress of Experiences, since the participation approval of the Ministry of University Education, there were preparatory meetings.
They have been the ones who proposed to us what kind of indicators to work on, especially the indicator that talks about the organizational aspect, we will be able to have an overview of how organized the community was when the project decision was made if they complied with the specific action agenda, or what strategies they used for the calls for proposals. So, undoubtedly, the universities have been crucial in the Congress format construction”.
