Portuguesa, February 9, 2023 (Press Mincomunas) – This Thursday, the Vice-Minister of Communal Economy of the People’s Ministry for Communes and Social Movements, Hernán Vargas, visited the Indirect Communal Social Property Company (EPSIC) “Café Biscucuy,” in the Sucre municipality, Portuguesa state.
During the meeting, Vice Minister Vargas talked with the producers, who explained how the communal economic circuit of coffee works.
Likewise, they discussed and exchanged experiences on how the plant should work so that it can directly benefit the people.
In this sense, the spokesperson Elimar Perdomo, representing 46 socio-productive organizations, expressed the People’s Power empowerment through this plant. “We are organized and work hard to guarantee the production of one of the best coffees in the world for its characteristics, aroma, and flavor.”
Likewise, spokeswoman Karina Rivero of the Comuna “Restauración del sueño de Chavez” added that these socio-productive projects are born from the people’s bases. Therefore “we are governing from the territory.”
