Caracas, December 21, 2022 (Press MinComunas) – The People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, offered the “Balance of 2022 and strategic vision of 2023” of the People’s Power through a videoconference. There he highlighted the progress developed in communal matters and that, next year, will develop within the framework of the socialist and Bolivarian project.
Alongside Eulalia Tabares, President of Fundacomunal, and Cesar Carrero, Vice-Minister of Organization and Participation, Arreaza emphasized the commitment to being responsible for the commune project. Likewise, he pointed out the “efforts that we still need to make” to “constitute a system of servants and leaders of the communal in the territory,” highlighting the progress that has been made this year in this sense.
Regarding the renewal of the Communal Councils, he stated, “We must take care of communal leadership, and part of this care is to maintain the legitimacy of our spokespersons.”
Likewise, Minister Arreaza emphasized the articulation of the whole revolutionary and popular government system, both “national, regional, municipal and communal,” and added that the Ministry under his charge must be the facilitator to gear this whole process.
