La Guaira, September 18, 2022 (Press MinComunas) -On Sunday, the People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, and Vice Minister Cesar Carrero toured several areas of La Guaira state. He continued his visits to the communities to analyze and follow the renewal process of the Communal Councils’ spokespersons.
The tour began at the Luisa Arrambide Communal Council (behind the Casa Guipuzcoana), continued at the El Chorrerón 5 de Julio Communal Council, and concluded at Las Flores Communal Council in Punta de Mulatos Market.
Minister Arreaza reiterated from La Guaira that the Communal Councils are the government in the territory: “A Communal Council is as much a government as a governor,” he detailed.
Likewise, Arreaza highlighted the work and support of the National Electoral Council (CNE) during this process.
“We make sure that the whole process carries out the best way. I thank the CNE for supporting us in these elections”, he said.
The People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements renewed the call to the Communal Councils and Communes to elaborate their Solutions Map and Concrete Action Agenda to strengthen the communal government, as set forth by President Nicolas Maduro.
“My call is for the revolutionary militancy to join because we are the ones who believe in the People’s Power. Our party believes in the People’s Power. We activate our militancy to participate and to support this whole process and strengthen the People’s Power,” he added.
La Guaira has 698 Communal Councils. This year, they will renew all their spokespersons and then proceed to the renewal of their Communes.
