Caracas, October 20, 2023 (Press Mincomunas) – On Thursday, more than 12 thousand People’s Power spokespersons attended a presidential ceremony on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the Rudder Around (Golpe de Timón), where they presented the strengths, progress and proposals of the Communal Economic Circuits throughout the country.
In the voice of Morelys Malvacias, spokeswoman of the Sectores Unidos Socialist Commune, in El Tocuyo sector, Moran municipality, Lara state; the progress of this communal aggregation process was demonstrated to the country.
“We as coffee producers need to free ourselves as Communes and Communal Councils in a communal aggregation system, such as the Communal Economic Circuits. It is there where we demonstrate to the country that the Communes are capable of producing food to subsist and help the national economy, as well as to take over the industrialization system of all the products we produce.”
Malvacias expressed his conviction, that union and organization “is salvation for all.”
“We are communal power and government, and we demonstrate it with facts. With all these products we show that Made in Comunas (made in communes). We have the cocoa, the Tricoporo corn flour, which involves the states of Lara, Portuguesa, and Barinas; the brown sugar loaves, chocolate, organic seeds from Mérida, the textile company, and three types of coffee [… We have an alliance with Moran Municipality Mayor’s Office and the company Café Cardenal to distribute in the communal baskets throughout the country where the Communal Economic Circuits are present”, he added.
The intervention of Malvacias gave rise to a series of presidential announcements to further strengthen these Circuits throughout Venezuela.
The head of State authorized a set of resources to boost and strengthen this mechanism, approved 130 community projects, and the transfer of competencies to the People’s Power in 15 industrial plants.
Additionally, he announced the creation of the Corporación Hecho en Comunas (Made in Communes Corporation) to finance and technically support the entire communal economy process.
The President also instructed the transference of 48 Mercales and the design of a national program of public purchases aimed at communal production.
