Presidential meeting in Barrio Mirabal highlights achievements of community governments in La Guaira

La Guaira, September 5, 2023 (Press Mincomunas). – During an emotional meeting this Wednesday with the community governments of La Guaira state, in the Mirabal neighborhood of Catia La Mar, President Nicolas Maduro highlighted the achievements and progress in the coastal state’s communities.

The leader, Nalladez Perez, parish liaison, shared her reflections during the event where the Social and Territorial vice-president, Mervin Maldonado; the Minister of Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, and the governor Jose Alejandro Teran, among other authorities, participated.

Perez began her speech by expressing her gratitude for President Nicolas Maduro’s presence, highlighting the importance of unity in the Bolivarian Revolution. She proudly mentioned the “4×4 integral” concept, which encompasses 42 street teams, 140 community teams, missions and great missions, social movements, youth, Francisco de Miranda Front, military, and police in the entity.

“All working together for the benefit of the community.” He also underlined the determination of the people of La Guaira to defend their territory and homeland against any imperialist threat.

President Maduro then spoke and, besides praising the Communal Councils’ work, highlighted their support for a series of projects, as well as the ability of the organized people to optimize resources and turn them into works that benefit the community.

“The grassroots Communal Councils will optimize every penny we give them will multiply in works every penny we give them because I know that the Communal Councils turn all the support given to them into a miracle,” he expressed.

On his part, Jose Alejandro Teran, La Guaira’s Governor, recalled the emblematic April 12, 2002, when a massive march left from Barrio Mirabal to rescue Commander Chavez and defend democracy and the Constitution.

Teran thanked President Maduro for his support and the Communal Councils for their collaboration in the execution of essential health, education, and public services projects.

He emphasized the water problem and highlighted that most plans are working to improve the supply of vital liquid, including subway extraction perforations and distribution systems.

“Those projects, who elaborated them? The People’s Power directly. The 1×10 had not been born. And what coincidence or what causality? You are so right about the tools you have created and where the real needs of the people are. You are so ‘dated’ that precisely all the 145 projects link to what you prioritized in the 1×10,” he said.

The governor informed us of the execution of 115 of the 145 projects addressed in the past months. He also mentioned that the remaining ones are in development.

The meeting was a testimony of the commitment and strength of the community of Barrio Mirabal and its loyalty to the Bolivarian Revolution. The constant search to improve the quality of life of its citizens and strengthen democracy continues to be a priority in La Guaira and throughout Venezuela.
