Caracas, June 26, 2023 (Mincomunas Press) – This Monday, the Minister of Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, highlighted that the reformed Organic Law of Communal Councils would incorporate the Concrete Action Agenda (ACA) as a precise method for the Venezuelan people to plan and make decisions.
“Here in this law, we put an end to any perversion there might be in the registration processes because now it is automated, electronic,” he said
After President Nicolas Maduro signed the promulgation of said regulation, approved by a qualified majority in the National Assembly (AN) last Thursday, Arreaza explained that the Community Coordination Collective in the previous law will now become the Communal Government Collective.
“In honor of our people in their self-government and co-government process with the Revolution,” assured the minister to strengthen participatory and protagonist democracy.
He recalled that Venezuela has recently been under siege, prompting the people to assume a greater protagonism to solve daily and structural problems.
President Nicolas Maduro stated that this legal instrument would allow for regulating, constituting, and organizing the operation of the Communal Councils as a territorial entity and instance of communal government.
“It has been expanded, perfected, improved. All this arose as part of a decision we made precisely on the Coup de Timon day”.
