Communal Councils present their achievements at the Federal Legislative Palace

Caracas, June 22, 2023 (Press National Assembly) – This Thursday, during an activity framed in the second discussion of the Organic Law Reform of the Communal Councils, a group of spokespersons of different communes and communal councils of the country presented the achievements and progress of the organized people at the Federal Legislative Palace.

The President of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Jorge Rodriguez (PSUV/Capital District), toured the “Social and Participative Cartography” exhibition in the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda hall of the Palace, where he interacted with several communal councilmen and women.

During the tour, visitors learned that there are 309 communal cities currently operating in the country, distributed in 49,178 communal councils organized in a productive manner, which demonstrates that the People’s Power organized in support of the administration of the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro Moros.

These experiences prove that the communal councils in each of their territories have empowered themselves with organizational tools in the communities, which constitute community government entities, to strengthen the People’s Power.

The Communal Councils that participated in the exhibition were the Socialist Commune El Panal 2021, from 23 de Enero parish, the Social Cartography of La Pastora parish, and the statistical survey of Negro Primero Communal Council from Antimano parish. Also present were the community members of the Socialist Commune El Maizal, from Lara state, and the commune blocks from La Guaira and Miranda state.
