Press Mincomunas – The People’s Power Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, assured that the agroecological practices carried out should not only be to avoid poisoning human beings but also to avoid poisoning Mother Earth.
“Fighting poverty, especially extreme poverty, is only possible from the commune level. The economy must be at the service of life, that is of the community and Mother Earth. This type of economy is fundamental to developing a policy of service in the communes”, expressed the Minister in the book Towards a Community of Life, recently presented at the 19th edition of the International Book Fair of Venezuela (Filven) 2023.
According to Arreaza, Chavez affirmed that a commune that is not productive is still in the construction process and does not become a commune. It means that to give sustainability to the socialist project, territorially, it is necessary to create communal economic conditions.
“Where the levels of government and the spheres of practical action are united, where the Commune is active and takes care of the economy, of the communal space, and the management and proper administration of public services, we are very strong. If we communalize the homeland, the territory, the Party, the State, and the community, we will undoubtedly be the civilizing alternative for the 21st century”, he pointed out.
