Zulia, November 22, 2023 (Fondemi Press) – Through a Communal Government Cabinet meeting carried out in the municipality of Machiques de Perijá, Zulia State, more than 150 communal producers decided to activate the Communal Meat and Dairy Economic Circuit, based on the Concrete Action Agenda (ACA) and the Map of Solutions, consolidated in different Citizens’ Assemblies.
The community spokespersons discussed that the purpose of the Communal Economic Circuit is to consolidate a new economic system that guarantees and satisfies the basic needs of the producing communities and their point and circle.
The activity was headed by the People’s Power spokespersons of the 24 Communes of the municipality, together with the national director of New Production Relations of the People’s Power Ministry for Communes and Social Movements, Irma Pacheco, and the president of the People’s Power National Fund Service (Safonapp) and of the Micro-financial Development Fund (Fondemi), Pablo Emilio Gimenez, both agencies attached to this ministerial portfolio, which are in charge of accompanying and financing the Communal Economic Circuits (CEC).
The meat and dairy CEC of Machiques de Perijá municipality in Zulia has two Communal Cities and has more than 300 communal producers in the locality.
“Today, the Machiques de Perijá municipality is in joy. We are integrated by two Communal Cities and more than 300 producers to move forward because “Producir es Vencer” (to produce is to prevail), and we, as community men and women of the homeland, tell President Nicolas Maduro that producing is also part of the fact that the Essequibo is ours and that is where we are going,” Gimenez said.
The Communal Economic Circuits are part of the policies promoted by President Nicolas Maduro to consolidate the communal economy and the economy for life and to face the sanctions and blockades orchestrated by the extreme right wing against the Venezuelan people.
